The Heights Church, in pursuit of its mission and in faithfulness to its vision, has prayerfully sought and jointly created a set of values that will help us to stay daily on track and serve as our guide in all matters pursuant to this faith family. These values set the tone and course for how we get things done. If the “vision” is the compass, the “core values” are the map that point the way and drive the “vision.” The Heights Church will be shaped by these values based on the book of Acts.

Scripture Guides Us

Scripture is God’s spoken Word to God’s people. Therefore, God’s Holy Word is The Heights Church’s supreme authority (Acts 2:42).

Service Unites Us

Local service in obedience to Jesus Christ’s instruction forms The Heights Church into one cohesive unit striving towards the chief goal of spreading the gospel (Acts 2:47; 4:32-35).

Relationships Shape Us

Because we feel that building relationships with people is the best way to share God’s love, small groups will be the primary manifestation of The Heights Church. (Acts 2:42, 44).

Discipleship Prepares Us

The Heights Church values discipleship because to be an authentic follower of Jesus we recognize that we are to follow Him completely, hence preparing us for the work the Lord has already set before us (Acts 11:21-26).

Love Compels Us

In order for us to be the church that God has called us to be The Heights Church will unashamedly and boldly seek to minister to the unchurched and the dechurched (Acts 2:47; 4:32-35).
